Re: AP Bias - Penn Dem Party Poor Performance (none / 0)

Sure. I'll send an email to Jackson.

When researching my earlier comment I was surprised at the closeness of the House vote compared to the seats won in Pennsylvania. A tie vote led to a 12 to 7 loss. I assume that gerrymandered districts must be part of the explanation. How many years are likely to go by before Democrats can realistically expect to enact corrective redistricting? From what I've read I have no confidence that the current Pennsylvania Democratic Party has it together enough to accomplish it soon. Unfortunately, the local problem is also a national problem because we need senators and we need reps badly.

If we can win back the state house in '06, and take back a few state senate seats, it's possible we could do it during the next census. I believe that we technically could do it before the census, but obviously not before we take back over the state house.
